Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Parable Post (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you create an account, purchase a subscription or gift, submit child information, approve a proof, or request mailing, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have authority to provide the information and consent required for that use.

2. Service Description

Parable Post creates personalized children’s stories, illustrations, proof previews, gifts, and mailed letters using parent- or guardian-provided information, AI generation, human/product review where available, email/SMS notification, payment processing, and print/fulfillment providers.

Some features may be experimental, unavailable, paused, or limited while we improve safety, proofing, fulfillment, abuse prevention, and compliance controls. We may disable checkout, photo analysis, public proof pages, mailing, or generated-content features when needed for safety, security, or operational reasons.

3. Parent/Guardian Responsibility and Child Information

You are responsible for ensuring that any child information you submit is accurate, appropriate, and provided with the consent and authority required by law. Children should not create accounts or submit information directly to Parable Post.

You must review generated stories, illustrations, proofs, links, and delivery details before sharing them with a child or approving physical mailing. If a gift buyer provides information about a child or parent recipient, the buyer is responsible for having permission to do so.

4. Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account, payment, child, gift, proof, and mailing information.
  • You may not access or attempt to access another user’s account, proof, gift, order, admin area, or generated content without authorization.
  • We may suspend, limit, or terminate accounts, purchases, proofs, delivery, or generated-content access that appear fraudulent, unsafe, abusive, unlawful, unpaid, disputed, or in violation of these Terms.

5. Generated Content and AI Review

Stories, titles, illustrations, photo-analysis descriptions, and quality checks may be generated or assisted by AI systems, including Google Gemini and OpenAI when configured. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, biased, unsuitable, or inconsistent with your expectations. Generated content is for personal, family, entertainment, educational, and keepsake purposes only; it is not professional, medical, legal, therapeutic, or educational advice.

You grant Parable Post the rights needed to use submitted prompts, child details, appearance descriptions, photos submitted for analysis, generated text, illustrations, and proof materials to provide, review, improve, print, mail, support, and secure the Service. Subject to these Terms and your payment obligations, you may use the generated story and illustration delivered to you for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not use the Service to create unlawful, exploitative, harassing, discriminatory, sexual, violent, infringing, deceptive, or otherwise harmful content, especially involving children.

6. Proofs, Links, Mailing, and Fulfillment

Some product flows create proof links, approval links, rejection links, public or bearer-style URLs, generated-image URLs, and fulfillment records. Treat these links as sensitive and do not share them with anyone who should not see the related parent, child, story, gift, order, or delivery information.

Physical letters and cards may be printed and mailed through Lob or another fulfillment provider. Mailing requires sharing recipient names, mailing addresses, generated content, illustrations, and related fulfillment metadata with the provider. Delivery dates, tracking, postal handling, and print outcomes are estimates and can be affected by third-party and postal operations.

7. Payments, Subscriptions, Gifts, Cancellations, and Refunds

  • Payments, subscriptions, invoices, gifts, and checkout sessions are processed through Stripe. You authorize us and Stripe to charge the amounts shown at checkout and any recurring subscription fees you accept.
  • Subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period unless the checkout or account flow states otherwise.
  • Gift and First Wish-style purchases may remain unpaid, pending, unclaimed, held for proof, held for delivery, paid, refunded, disputed, canceled, expired, or otherwise restricted depending on payment and fulfillment status.
  • Refunds, duplicate charges, failed payments, chargebacks, delivery failures, AI-output dissatisfaction, and fulfillment issues are handled case by case unless a specific checkout page states a different rule.
  • We may withhold story generation, proof release, gift claim, final delivery, account entitlement, or mailing unless payment is completed and the order is not canceled, disputed, refunded, expired, or suspected of fraud.

8. SMS and Email Messaging Terms

If you provide a mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive recurring automated SMS messages from Parable Post related to account updates, story approvals, proof links, delivery notifications, and occasional promotional offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.

We may send operational emails about account access, proofs, approvals, rejections, payment status, gifts, delivery, subscriptions, support, and security. Marketing emails may be sent where you opt in or where permitted by law.

9. Privacy and Service Providers

Use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. The Service uses third-party and affiliated service providers for hosting, database operations, AI generation, payment processing, printing/mailing, email, SMS, analytics, attribution, monitoring, and support. Those providers may process parent, child, story, proof, order, payment, and delivery information as needed to provide the Service.

10. Deletion and Account Closure

Available dashboard tools may let you delete child profiles or manage generated content. Full account closure, generated-content deletion, payment records, fulfillment records, logs, backups, and service-provider records may require contacting us and may be subject to legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, security, backup, and operational retention needs.

11. Availability, Changes, and Beta Features

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, pause, limit, remove, or discontinue features, vendors, models, product flows, prices, proofing, fulfillment, or policies at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parable Post is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; unavailable features; AI-output issues; third-party provider failures; postal delays; or unauthorized access caused by your sharing of links or credentials. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Parable Post for the transaction or subscription period giving rise to the claim.
